Born on the East Coast of Italian descent, I am the mother of two grown sons and enjoy special time with my grandchildren. Obviously, I’m no spring chicken.
I began exploring metaphysical possibilities in 1978 because I was desperately seeking solutions to issues that had encumbered me for several years. I had been waking nightly, between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m., unable to turn my thoughts off. Exhausted, short-tempered and very stressed out, I had been suffering headaches that lasted for days and was sick to my stomach, overdosed with over the counter headache remedies. The doctors wanted to prescribe for me but I believed that treating the symptoms was not a long-term solution, and over the counter remedies that I didn’t want in my body weren’t helping, either.
Then, Sandi, a friend I admired for having her business and personal affairs in order, convinced me I could do the same. She was adamant that my world would turn around if only I would take the time to learn how to meditate and control my mind. She claimed I could accomplish my entire wish list of both needs and wants through creative visualization. I thought she was nuts but it was worth a try, so long as I could hide what I was up to. I didn’t want anyone to assume I was also nuts.
It was, after all, 1978.
During the years preceding this event, I’d had psychological counseling that didn’t change the results but did help identify the issues. It had been drummed into me that I needed to learn how to manage stress resulting from being high strung, an “A Type” personality with very ambitious career pursuits, and a single parent of two boys. The need to generate income, achieve stability and security was paramount.
I took a course in mind control and creative visualization. I bought a little handbook and a tape with instructions on how to meditate. The first night I practiced meditation, I slept through the night and awoke without a headache. Hum, a strange “coincidence” which repeated itself on successive nights.
I then read everything I could get my hands on about metaphysics, which wasn’t much in those times. I practiced meditation and creative visualization alone daily and then started practicing monthly with people I’d met in the class, many of whom were in medical services professions. We discovered that I had a gift of “seeing” their patient’s medical conditions and could relay information back to them. Even though the information made no sense to me, it made sense to them. They got results and I got incredibly excited, enough to pursue more.
It’s true that while I was not an astrologer, I’d always had an interest in astrological personality characteristics and studied those traits with fervor, learning how to apply characteristics to everyone’s mutual advantage when hiring and managing people in my charge. It’s true that I’d always had insights about people and situations that I couldn’t explain. And as a consequence to a near death experience, I acquired a deep understanding of reincarnation, the eternal life of the soul and how past life regressions can interface the soul’s past with the present.
What I was now exploring and applying was taking me by leaps and bounds to a dimension I never knew existed. My insights developed more each time I practiced. Over these many years since 1978, I have had the privilege of studying with exceptional psychics and counselors from various belief systems and areas of specialization. I have learned techniques that worked best for me and routinely counseled friends and acquaintances who have been open, receptive and generous with feedback.
I am now at the point where the best description of my interests is that I am a continuing student of mind management, psychic development and healing from within. I have supplemented my studies with applications of alternative, natural therapies for improved health and wellness.
Psychic development is available to anyone who has interest and desire in pursuing this venue. It is, in my opinion, the greatest most unexplored frontier before us and I would like to share my limited knowledge, insights and experience with anyone who desires it.
